Back in 2000 I was working as a graphic designer in a building next door to Bristol’s Industrial Museum, now known as MShed. I walked past the cranes in this artwork every day and marvelled at their size and structure. 25 years on from then I took my camera and photographed two of the cranes with the MShed backdrop to use as inspiration for this piece. The MShed gets lots of visitors, but this inquisitive octopus has to be one of the most beautiful and colourful!
The artwork was hand drawn with fine liner pens on paper and coloured with ProMarkers. Limited edition prints in two sizes are available both printed on high quality 250gsm matt paper.
